ABOUT ed

A man with a beard wearing a blue medical vest and black cap, standing in a locker room with a towel over his shoulder, holding a water bottle, and listening to headphones.

Ed has over 20 years of experience working with Olympic athletes, professional and international rugby players within high-performance team environments — guiding them on the journey from injury to returning stronger and ready to perform at their best. With a background in strength and conditioning, and the hands-on skills of being an osteopath, Ed has a unique perspective on working with injuries.

Following the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France, Ed chose to step away from his role as Head of Medical Services for Georgia Rugby to take a much-needed break from the intense pressures of professional sport, pursue adventure while living in Peru, and reconnect with his roots in South Africa by living in Cape Town for six months. Ed is now back in Norwich, England, where he is offering his services.

In recent years, Ed has brought this wealth of experience into his work with high-performing men who are seeking deeper meaning and alignment in their lives. He has co-facilitated leadership retreats and men’s programmes alongside his friend and mentor, Craig White, as part of Craig’s ICONIC Leadership Programme — including guiding groups of men through transformational journeys in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Peru.

Alongside this collaboration, Ed has also walked his own path of inner development — participating in Craig’s ICONIC Programme as a student, being personally mentored by Craig, graduating through the Mankind Project’s New Warrior Training Adventure, and training to become a certified trauma-informed life coach. Holding space for men, building community, and facilitating transformation through somatic practices — including meditation and breathwork — are expressions of service that resonate deeply.

Ed has navigated several challenging transitions in his life, including his recent move away from full-time professional sport — leaving behind the team he loved and the country he had called home for ten years. Through this period of change, he leaned deeply into the support of community, the practices that helped regulate his nervous system, and a growing trust in his heart and intuition.

Ed blends his experience of over 20 years in elite-level sport, both as a former athlete and as support staff in high-performance teams, applying the knowledge gained to how he supports the people he works with.
